Founded in 2005, Castle Island Partners is an investment firm that acquires controlling stakes in closely-held middle market industrial and consumer businesses. Our goal is to help these companies get to the next level by leveraging deep operating resources, strategy and analytical expertise, and long investment time horizons.

Our Partners have run industrial or consumer companies ranging from $10 million to $1 billion in revenue. As a result, our recommendations and advice as investors are grounded in an understanding of the real=world challenges that face leaders of growing middle market companies.

Castle Island Partners has four principals residing in the Boston and Charlotte markets, and seeks to acquire companies that are easily accessed from these airports. We have been investing for over 15 years in distribution, manufacturing, software and service businesses in industrial and consumer sectors, ranging in EBITDA from $1 million to $50 million. At the lower of this size range, we are principally buying for our own accounts, whereas for larger deals we partner with large family offices and institutions, with whom we have collaborated in the past. We typically buy a controlling stake but are open to minority investments in companies where we have a material say and economic stake in the partnership. Our objective is to own businesses for 10-15 years. We have acquired six companies and currently have three active investments: Boston Interiors Furniture, Organic Dyes and Pigments, and ADT Pizza.
